Step into the world of game development as a Storyboard Game Artist, shaping cinematic first-person action scenes with a focus on camera dynamics. Collaborate closely with the team to align storyboards with the game's narrative and artistic vision.

This is a full-time 6-9 week contract opportunity. The role is located in Los Angeles, CA and is hybrid onsite .

Storyboard Game Artist Responsibilities:

  • Design and refine storyboards for first-person action sequences, enhancing the cinematic experience.
  • Partner with the creative team to align storyboards with the game's narrative and artistic vision.
  • Emphasize camera work to elevate the storytelling and visual impact.
  • Convey mood, pacing, and action effectively through detailed storyboards.
  • Incorporate feedback from the Art Director and team members to refine storyboards.
  • Ensure visual style and storytelling consistency throughout the project.

Storyboard Game Artist Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Storyboard Artist in the gaming or film industry.
  • Ability to work quickly in 2D animation and storyboarding with a strong focus on shot-based sequences.
  • Strong understanding of cinematic techniques and camera work.
  • Knowledgeable about composition rules such as the rule of thirds
  • A robust portfolio highlighting expertise in first-person perspectives and action sequences.
  • Proficiency in using storyboard software and tools.
  • Deep understanding of camera work and cinematic techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to feedback and iterate designs efficiently.
