Progressive Safety has an exciting opportunity available for a Safety Specialist . We are looking for a workplace safety professional who is located in the Charlotte, NC area.

Great Entry-Level College Hire position with and strong onboarding and training program and quick growth opportunity.

The Safety Specialist will function as a member of a consulting team and be responsible for working on a number of client accounts and providing safety services such as safety audits/inspections, safety training, and leading safety meetings as well as preparing programs, orientations, and other professional deliverables.

Location : Charlotte, NC

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Self-starter and ability to work with little oversight and direction
• Strong networking skills and ability to identify opportunities and sell solutions
• Effective communication skills; both verbal as well as written
• A strong ability to identify opportunities and form solutions
• Develop solutions, programs, training, presentations as necessary
• Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
• Organize and implement comprehensive safety programs
• Organize and manage safety records
• Work a flexible schedule that meets clients' need and demands
• Be a team player and manage client safety needs
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, health, safety or another related field of study
• Must have excellent writing and communication skills
• Must have advanced skills with MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500
• First Aid / CPR / AED Instructor
• Degree in safety and health, business, risk management, other related technical field or business
• Posse or is actively working towards Professional Certification(s) (GSP, ASP, OHST, CHST, CSP, ARM, CIH, CHMM, PMP, etc.)
