Job Description

Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Mid-Level QA Tester to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our user-facing web application. The ideal candidate has a passion for finding bugs, a keen eye for detail, and solid experience in manual testing methodologies, particularly regression and web application testing. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify, document, and resolve software defects, playing a crucial part in delivering a seamless user experience. Responsibilities Execute Test Cases: Perform manual testing, including functional, usability, UI/UX, and comprehensive regression testing on our web application across various browsers and devices. Develop Test Plans: Design, create, and maintain clear and concise test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and user stories. Identify and Report Defects: Accurately identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies in our bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Provide detailed steps for reproduction and verify bug fixes once they are resolved. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the development and product teams to understand new features and ensure testing activities align with project timelines and release schedules. Maintain Quality Standards: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes and standards. Required Qualifications 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a software quality assurance or testing role. Demonstrated experience in web application testing, with a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues. Proven expertise in creating and executing regression testing suites to ensure existing functionalities remain stable after new code changes. Proficiency with bug-tracking software such as Jira, Asana, or a similar tool. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph. 4 years with AS/AA; 2 years with BS/BA; 6 years with no degree Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr. Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus. Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
