We have a one-story home/office, about 6500 sq. ft. total main floor and basement, with about 40% being offices, filing and POS storage, so not everything needs to be cleaned every time. We are empty nesters, but still have too much stuff that our four boys haven’t taken with them. We have a yellow lab that stays in the garage MOST of the time, but does come in when it’s storming, so we do have some pet hair that gets tracked in. We have a growing business, with two full-time employees here every day. I’ve always worked full-time with the accounting, etc. for the family business, and my house gets away from me in my constant attempt to keep everything done in the office, so it really needs cleaning. We live on a gravel road, so keeping ahead of the dust is a challenge. I also just plain run out of time to get everything filed/put where it’s supposed to go as finding a place to put everything is also a constant problem, thus we do have a fair amount of somewhat organized clutter. I for sure am needing someone on a regular basis, but sending out an S.O.S. for cleaning before Thanksgiving. Our house is big enough that it really is a full day job, and once a person gets on top of it initially, that’s when my past housekeepers have fit in the detailed cleaning; I try to be real flexible as far as scheduling, swapping days to facilitate a change in their schedule.
