City of Rice Lake Regular Full-Time FLSA -Exempt City Planner
The City of Rice Lake, WI is accepting applications until Friday, March 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. for a Regular Full-Time City Planner position. The ideal candidate shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, with some experience in municipal financial forecasting and assessor functions is preferred. However, any equivalent combination of education and experience, additional education substituting on a year for year basis, will fulfill the requirements for education Duties to include, but not limited to, zoning, subdivision platting laws and regulations, Wisconsin State Statutes applicable to planning issues, comprehensive planning, capital improvements planning, development of short- and long-range plans, and prepares data/briefs for Council and various committees. This position is responsible for the supervision of one P/T employee and assists Department Heads with planning for future capital needs The applicant shall have a working knowledge of engineering principles that pertains to urban development, computer software, with advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and Beacon GIS. The City provides a generous benefit package, including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System. The salary range is $68,500 - $78,500/yr. depending on qualifications and experience.
