Cleaner / Janitor

This position will require you to dust, sweep, mop, clean glass, maintain trash, sanitize and disinfect all areas. You will also be expected to properly train any new office cleaners. You will be responsible for any co-workers cleaning in their assigned areas as well as making sure said areas get completed in a timely manner and are up to Dunamis standards.

Location: DTE Belle River Plant, 4505 King Road, East China, MI 48054

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday / Weekends as needed

Job Essential Functions:

• Keep the safety of your crew your top priority
• Identify safety hazards
• Properly train new hires in office areas
• Check to ensure all offices are completed
• Make sure proper equipment is being used
• Make sure proper chemicals are being used
• Check to ensure women's restrooms and locker rooms are completed
• Have a tentative plan of action ready for the following day
• Problem solve minor issues
• Excellent communication skills with Supervisor and Site Manager
• Conduct and present yourself in a professional manner
• Team player working hand in hand alongside crew
• Pick up any trash you may come across
• Fill in when an fellow employee is absent
• Alert Supervisor, or Site manager of any safety concerns or unusual conditions

Special Requirements:

• Able to complete the essential functions of the job

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
• Must be able to walk distances up to mile on a regular basis
• Must be able to lift, bend, twist, stand, walk, push, and pull
• Exposure to cold, hot, loud, wet, and dirty when between offices

Qualifications:

• Must have a vast knowledge of all office areas in which you will be responsible for
• Must be professional, polite, and courteous
• Must be able to identify any potential hazards
• Must be self-motivated

Additional Responsibilities:

• Attend Job Related Trainings as required
• Performs other similar or related duties as necessary
