Position Overview

Reports to: Executive Director of Renaissance

Purpose: Lead and develop students musically and professionally, overseeing the creative opportunities of the Renaissance program.

Under the administrative direction of the Executive Director of Renaissance, responsible for all shifts and responsibilities. Incumbents may be subject to callback as required.

Principal Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Director to uphold the vision of the Renaissance Program.
• Coordinate with departments and staff on creative and musical processes.
• Teach parts and arrangements; possess knowledge of Music Theory and sight-reading.
• Prepare, organize, and oversee rehearsals, concerts, and program activities, including conducting rehearsals.
• Oversee the program's creative health and assist with recruitment as needed.
• Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 5 years of professional or educational experience

Desired Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a music-related field

Experience: 5+ years of professional or educational experience

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Requires standing, bending, lifting (up to 30 pounds occasionally), walking, and moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds intermittently). Work may involve exposure to unpleasant conditions or potential hazards.
