Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Sign Language Interpreter is needed to provide 1:1 support for an elementary school student during a leave coverage assignment. This contract position runs from July 1st through August 13th, with weekday hours from 7:45 AM to 1:45 PM, totaling 30 hours per week. The role focuses on supporting a 3rd-grade student who spends part of the day with the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) and the remainder in a general education classroom.
This assignment is ideal for professionals based in or near Douglasville, GA, with flexibility to serve surrounding areas including Atlanta, GA. The position requires strong experience in sign language interpretation, particularly in educational settings, to promote clear munication and access to curriculum.
