Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is currently searching for a highly-motivated, passionate and energetic Urban Planner to join the Urban Planning and Design Group in Tulsa, OK or Oklahoma City, OK. The ideal candidate will strengthen capabilities in hazards and resilience planning, comprehensive planning, small area planning such as downtown revitalization plans and corridor plans, and/or development codes. Hybrid skillsets such as planning combined with landscape architecture or hazards/disaster recovery & mitigation are encouraged. The position offers opportunities to work on projects in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas. Responsibilities include working collaboratively in a multi-discipline team, producing well-written reports and visual documents, managing project timeliness and quality, traveling as needed, facilitating public involvement meetings, representing the company at various events, planning and coordinating phases of large projects, and developing land use plans demonstrating creativity and foresight. Qualifications include 2+ years of urban planning-related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design programs, database management, GIS, experience in cross-sector planning and project management, and AICP certification.
