Qualifications and responsibilities for this Urban Planner position include:- Bachelor's degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Urban Studies, Geography, or a related field required.- 2+ years of professional urban planning experience.- Review and process zoning changes, code amendments, annexation requests, and comprehensive plan updates.- Serve as lead contact for long-range planning efforts, including development and boundary agreements.- Assist with enforcement of zoning ordinances and coordinate customer service for planning-related inquiries.- Prepare and present reports, memos, and recommendations to internal committees and public boards.- Coordinate public participation meetings and special projects related to redevelopment and neighborhood planning.- Oversee or support historic preservation and joint planning commissions.Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
