Lakeside Book Company is looking for Temp-to-Hire Picker/Packers for our two Fulfillment departments. In this position, you will be part of a modern warehousing facility that utilizes cutting-edge technology to streamline our processes. Your focus will be on efficiently picking and packing orders, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time, every time. Pay, Shift, Location, & Job Type:

Pay: $17.00/hr, plus $2.50/hr shift differential for 2nd Shift.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm, with overtime as required.

Location: 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168

Job Type: Temp-to-hire: eligible for full time, permanent, status change following your 90-day probationary performance review.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items according to established order requirements.
  • Follow system prompts at Goods-to-Person (GTP) stations or through your Jennifer headset, to select, scan, and confirm items.
  • Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions.
  • Handle exceptions such as damaged, missing, or oversized items by adhering to Lakeside Book Company's QC procedures.
  • Assist with replenishment. Ensuring that bins, totes, and mobile transport units (MTUs) are properly managed.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, WMS errors, or inventory discrepancies to appropriate members of leadership.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting and handling procedures.
  • Maintain productivity standards while meeting quality and accuracy goals.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, trainers, and CI staff to support process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6-months previous warehouse picking experience.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs through shift.
  • Ability to follow all safety guidelines, with a safety first mind-set.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
