Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Technical Writer to support the Customer Services Team that oversees education data systems. The role involves creating, updating, and maintaining user-facing documentation, training resources, and external communications to support these platforms and ensure an accessible user experience for Wisconsin's education community.

Note : Primarily remote, but in-person travel or attendance at work events in Madison, WI is expected to be approximately 1–2 times per month.

Initial duration : through 6/30/26 with extension likely.

Compensation: $18-20/hr + health, dental, vision insurance and 401k.

Responsibilities:

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly materials.
• Develop and maintain documentation, training resources, and communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams, product owners, and subject matter experts.
• Ensure consistency and clarity across all platforms and media.
• Help improve customer understanding and streamline support processes.
• This position reports to the Customer Services Team manager and may involve both collaborative and independent work.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with external communications
• Ability to understand and describe customer experience workflows and technical integrations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with application programming interface (API) technologies
• Experience with data warehousing and reporting tools
• Content management experience using Drupal
• Experience developing knowledge base articles
• Ability to comprehend technical concepts and collaborate with technical teams
• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is near $20. This rate is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
