Job Description

Overview HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Washington DC to hire math tutors for elementary students (grades K-5). Tutors will assist during and after regular school hours, actively supervising students and helping them catch up from learning gaps from the past school year. An in-person background check is required. Job Duties Work with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff. Prepare the area to start tutoring sessions. May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas on the school site. Take attendance and run lessons through the HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable). Document student progress with the HeyTutor Dashboard. Facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by the manager. Lead tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided by the program. Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for kids. Support students in making positive behavior choices. Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students. Daily clock in and out of Deputy for shifts. Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site. Requirements Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college/university Tutoring experience (great at working with kids) Comfortable working in a classroom setting Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us) Pay $29-$32 per hour. Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of the interview.
