Job Description

About the Job

Yoju makes America’s most popular soju canned cocktails. We have big ambitions to create a whole new category of Asian-inspired beverages within the alcohol industry. We’re a small and fast-growing startup looking for people that thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make an impact from Day 1.

As Yoju’s Social Media Marketing Manager, you will shape our brand voice, create engaging video content, and help us manage our influencer and event marketing channels. You should live and breathe short-form content and be comfortable in front of and behind the camera. On the event side, our product’s been sold at everything from Blackpink concerts to raves to sporting events, and you’ll play a critical part in making our activations successful.

What you'll do:

  • Create highly engaging and entertaining short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram. You will own end-to-end production from research to ideation to scripting to shooting to editing.
  • Act as an on-screen personality for Yoju. Along with our founders, you’ll be a part of the team that is the “face of the brand” on socials.
  • Collaborate with creators, influencers, and other brands.
  • Analyze content performance across platforms to understand what’s working and what’s not.
  • Engage with our online community – respond to comments, participate in conversations, and create a beloved voice for the brand.
  • Seek out local events that give us “liquid to lips” opportunities where Yoju can be served to event attendees.
  • Occasional travel across the US to shoot content as we launch new markets and help support large events we take part in.

What we're looking for:

  • A strong understanding of what makes engaging content on social platforms. You know how to stop viewers from scrolling and you’re obsessed with watch-through time.
  • A strong understanding of internet culture and pop culture. You know how to connect with Gen Z and Millennial social drinkers.
  • Must have a portfolio of content online that demonstrates that you’ve know how to make engaging content.
  • Experience or strong intuition on how to create content that can drive business outcomes, like brand awareness and product demand.
  • You’re good at getting things done and take initiative on finding impactful things to work on.
  • Must be fluent with video editing tools. Knowledge of photo editing and graphic design are a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay, and opportunity to grow within the company quickly based on results.
  • Health and dental insurance.
  • Unlimited PTO.
