Job Title: SMATL Campus Events Coordinator (Part-Time)
Campus: South Metro ATL
Department: Creative
Hours: Part-Time
Reports To: SMATL Campus Pastor
Purpose of the Role
The SMATL Campus Events Coordinator serves the mission of GO Church by helping plan and execute excellent, life-giving campus events that bring people together and reflect the heart of our church. This role partners closely with the Gatherings Director to bring vision to life through detailed event planning, creative collaboration, and strong onsite leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Experience and Knowledge Required
- A growing relationship with Jesus and alignment with the mission and values of GO Church.
- Proven ability to organize, multitask, and lead teams effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and proactive communication.
- Comfortable leading volunteers and managing multiple moving parts under pressure.
- Creative eye for event atmosphere, dcor, and guest experience.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and major GO Church events as needed.
- Experience in Events & Logistics
- Highly Organized and comfortable leading staff & teams
- Experience with vendors & caterers
Event Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with the Gatherings Director and SMATL team to plan and execute all major campus events and conferences (e.g., Mens, Womens, Marriage, Holidays).
- Serve as the on-site event manager during conferences and large events- helping lead teams, delegate roles, and ensure smooth execution from setup to teardown.
- Act as the main point person for all campus event logistics, ensuring alignment between the Campus Pastor, Gatherings Director, and campus departments.
- Participate in Creative Team Meetings to contribute ideas, creative concepts, and environmental design that make each event feel fresh and aligned with the GO Church culture.
- Participate in SMATL weekly staff meetings and all conferences & events for GO Church.
Campus Events Team Development
- Build and lead the SMATL Events Team- recruiting, training, and empowering volunteers to serve with excellence and joy.
- Foster a fun, inclusive, and team-oriented culture among event volunteers.
- Ensure volunteers understand their roles, are well-prepared, and feel valued before, during, and after events.
Event Logistics & Execution
- Oversee the ordering and preparation of centerpieces, food, dcor, and other event materials in collaboration with the Gatherings Director.
- Manage onsite logistics including room setup, signage, hospitality details, and post-event teardown.
- Maintain event timelines, checklists, and communication plans to ensure every event runs with clarity and excellence.

- The SMATL Events Team is thriving, engaged, and growing in ownership and skill.
- Clear communication and collaboration between the Gatherings Director, Campus Pastor, and SMATL staff team.
- Events reflect GO Churchs culture of hospitality, creativity, and excellence in every detail
Administrative
- Manage scheduling & communication to Events Team for monthly serve opportunities.
- Keep accurate records of budgets & spending for all events & conferences
- Highly functional in budgets & spreadsheets to maintain accurate analytics post conferences & events
- Keep up to date information of all vendors, catering, or business in the area
Personal Responsibilities
- Maintain proper priorities in home and spiritual life
- Be loyal to the mission, vision, and staff of GO Church; protect the unity and integrity of the church
- Invest in and invite people to know Jesus and become part of GO Church
- Maintain a consistent personal walk with the Lord through prayer and Scripture
- Financially support the mission and vision of GO Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of your gross income. Maintain wise stewardship over the remaining 90%.
- Read/sign the GO Church social media policy, staff culture and core values.
