As Akdeniz Chemson, one of the OYAK Group companies, which is the world's leading polymer additive manufacturer; we are looking for a Senior Accountant for our company to be assigned at our location Philedalphia, USA

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records while supporting management with reliable financial insights and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of US GAAP, is open to learning IFRS adjustments, and is committed to continuous improvement.

This role is offered on a temporary basis to ensure business continuity during an ongoing transition. The duration of the assignment is not fixed and will depend on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP; willingness to learn IFRS differences
  • Experience with general ledger operations and close processes
  • Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, laws, and internal policies
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support budgeting and financial planning
  • Respond to management requests and support internal and external audit processes
  • Maintain and manage general ledger activities and chart of accounts
  • Document accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls
  • Assist with tax audits and tax return processes
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and implement best practices
  • Coordinate with external auditors and relevant stakeholders
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency
