Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to provide dedicated 1:1 support for an 11th-grade student in Stewartville, MN. This role is based on-site at a local school and requires strong interpreting skills to facilitate communication in all classes for the student throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering clear and accurate sign language interpretation during all classroom activities and instructional sessions.
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure effective communication and inclusion.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with school policies and ethical standards.
• Supporting the students engagement and access to the curriculum by adapting interpretation style as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in American Sign Language, Education Interpreting, or a related field.
• Valid and current certification such as EIPA, RID, or NID.
• Proven reliability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to supporting a positive learning environment for the student.

Location: Stewartville, Minnesota
Contract: Full-time, on-site, school year assignment
