Adelphi is seeking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPNs) to provide 1-on-1 school-based nursing support for students with severe disabilities at a school facility in Southeast Missouri. The nurses will deliver care in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Individual Health Plan (IHP).

Requirements
• Active Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric, school, or developmental-disability experience preferred.
• Must pass Family Care Safety Registry and FBI fingerprint background checks.
• Maintain professional liability insurance meeting state requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within an educational team environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to a student during the school day and while traveling to and from home.
• Deliver medical services as outlined in the student’s IEP and IHP.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to emergency medical needs.
• Ensure continuous coverage by coordinating substitute nursing services during absences, as required by the school.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all care, treatments, and communication per school and state requirements.
• Attend periodic orientation or training sessions as requested by the school to maintain procedural and policy compliance.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary staff to support student health and participation.
• Provide services that follow the school calendar and daily instructional schedule.
• Perform all duties on-site; telehealth or remote work is not permitted.
• Maintain confidentiality under FERPA and HIPAA, and comply with all state mandated-reporting laws.
