JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Cabinet Maker II - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Dallas, TX
PAY RATE: $26.93/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints and aircraft specifications

• Assemble, pin, and glue cabinet shells; install drawer slides, hinges, latches, and other hardware

• Apply exterior surface materials such as laminates, veneers, and cap strips

• Operate stationary and hand-held power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture

• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and use required PPE

• Use material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off work

• Work with leads and senior technicians to improve processes and reduce cost and cycle time using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years of cabinetmaking experience

• Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred

• Experience in the aerospace industry preferred

• Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design/engineering drawings, and aircraft specifications

• Must be computer literate

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs

• Must be able to work in small or restricted areas

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Must be able to work any shift

• Must comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies

• Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
