Now Hiring a Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager to support fleet operations in our North Carolina region! This includes all Charlotte locations (South, West, and Central) as well as Asheville! The Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager plans, organizes, and supervises the regional maintenance function and management team. This position is responsible for overall fleet and equipment support, ensuring fleet condition, reliability, safety, and cost-effective performance. The manager will work under the direction of the Regional Vice President and collaborate with regional and divisional management teams. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage waste industry fleet of vehicles and equipment, including Class 5-8 trucks, off-road support equipment, and supervisory vehicles. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and implement proactive maintenance processes. Support budget development and manage regional maintenance budgets. Provide leadership in coaching and training fleet managers and supervisors. Develop technician training programs and oversee technician development. Support daily operational needs of regional business units. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure service excellence. Oversee inventory control, performance goals, and reporting for dossier efficiencies. Ensure adherence to federal and state programs, EPA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulations. Manage fleet inventory and condition reporting, including out-of-service listings. Implement and monitor all fleet maintenance activities, including safety inspections, warranty recovery, and major repairs. Coordinate equipment movement between divisions, ensuring proper inspections and readiness. Analyze service issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions. Create metrics and diagnostic reporting tools to support fleet quality and performance. Qualifications: 3-5 years of hands-on fleet management experience, preferably in waste, recycling, or similar industrial fleets; 5+ years overseeing multiple sites. Strong project management, communication, and resource planning skills. Knowledge of maintenance procedures and industry regulations (EPA, DOT, OSHA). High School diploma required. Ability to manage complex situations with strategic and tactical priorities. Autonomous yet team-oriented, capable of working cross-functionally. Experience in budgeting and applying accounting principles. Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work. Proficiency with MS Office and maintenance software (e.g., Dossier).
