Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QuickBooks Online (QBO) Specialist to manage and maintain our financial records, ensure accuracy in bookkeeping, and support efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, hands-on experience with QBO, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online (QBO). • Record and reconcile accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R). • Prepare and categorize journal entries, deposits, and expense reports. • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations monthly. • Generate financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are accurately classified. • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations (if applicable). • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and audit preparation. • Collaborate with management, external accountants, or tax professionals as needed. • Stay current with QBO updates and accounting best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) required (certification preferred). • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small-to-medium business environment. • Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and other business software. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification. • Experience with third-party integrations (e.g., bill.com, Expensify, Shopify, Gusto, etc.). • Background in [industry — e.g., construction, e-commerce, professional services]. • Familiarity with 1099 preparation, sales tax filing, and other compliance tasks.
