Rapid emergency rescue from the air and safe patient transport by helicopter and ambulance aircraft – that's what the non-profit DRF Luftrettung stands for. We are one of the leading air rescue organizations in Europe and fly more than 40,000 missions a year. 

Whether on the ground or in the air – with our approximately 180 pilots, we set high standards in flight operations. Careful crew planning, conscientious monitoring of flight duty and rest periods, as well as ongoing training measures and courses are fundamental to ensuring these standards. The DRF Luftrettung fleet includes state-of-the-art helicopters such as the H135 and H145 models with five-blade rotors. Our team has extensive and long-standing experience with special procedures such as night flying, winch rescue, takeoffs and landings in densely built-up areas, operations in alpine terrain, and offshore operations. In 2004, DRF Luftrettung was the first air rescue organization in Germany to receive approval for its own Approved Training Organization (ATO).

We are now seeking support for our stations throughout Germany!

Your tasks

• Air rescue missions : As the responsible commander in day or 24-hour flight operations, you will carry out air rescue missions together with the medical crew and will therefore be part of an interdisciplinary and highly professional rescue team.
• Operational readiness of the helicopter : As a professional helicopter pilot, you are responsible for ensuring operational readiness and safety on board.
• Documentation : In the operational and station-related areas, you carefully record all relevant information in accordance with our internal guidelines.

Your profile

• Valid EASA Part FCL license for transport helicopter pilots (ATPL-H) or commercial helicopter pilots (CPL-H) and theoretical knowledge of ATPL-H
• Type rating on the H135 or H145 is an advantage
• At least 1,500 flight hours as a pilot in command (m/f/d)
• (of which at least 500 hours of experience in air rescue service or a comparable operational profile)
• German language skills (C1) and English language skills or higher
• Previous flying experience for 24-hour flight operations:
• Instrument rating 
• At least 100 hours of night flying experience (ideally NVIS)
• at least 100 hours of instrument flight experience

Ob am Boden oder in der Luft – im Bereich Flugbetrieb setzen wir mit unseren rund 180 Pilotinnen und Piloten hohe Standards. Eine sorgfältige Creweinsatzplanung, die gewissenhafte Überwachung der Flugdienst- und Ruhezeiten sowie kontinuierliche Schulungsmaßnahmen und Lehrgänge sind grundlegend für die Gewährleistung dieser Standards. Zur Flotte der DRF Luftrettung gehören hochmoderne Hubschrauber wie die Muster H135 und H145 mit Fünfblattrotor. Unser Team hat umfassende und langjährige Erfahrung mit besonderen Verfahren wie Nachtflug, Windenrettung, Starts und Landungen in dicht bebautem Gebiet, Einsätzen in alpinem Gelände oder Offshore. Als erste Luftrettungsorganisation in Deutschland hat die DRF Luftrettung 2004 eine Zulassung für eine eigene Approved Training Organisation (ATO) erhalten.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Luftrettungseinsätze : Als verantwortlicher Kommandant im Tag- oder 24- Flugbetrieb führen Sie gemeinsam mit der medizinischen Crew Luftrettungseinsätze durch und sind somit Teil eines interdisziplinären und hochprofessionellen Rettungsteam.
• Flugbetriebliche Einsatzbereitschaft des Hubschraubers : Als Berufshubschrauberführer sind Sie für die Herstellung der flugbetrieblichen Einsatzbereitschaft und die Sicherheit an Bord verantwortlich.
• Dokumentation : Im einsatz- und stationsbezogenen Bereich erfassen Sie sorgfältig alle relevanten Informationen im gemäß unseren internen Vorgaben.

Ihr Profil

• Gültige EASA-Lizenz nach Teil FCL für Verkehrshubschrauberführer (ATPL-H) oder Berufshubschrauberführer (CPL-H) und theoretische ATPL-H Kenntnis
• Musterberechtigung auf dem Muster H135 oder H145 von Vorteil
• Mindestens 1.500 Flugstunden als verantwortlicher Pilot (m/w/d)
• (davon mindestens 500 Stunden Erfahrung im Luftrettungsdienst oder in einem vergleichbaren Einsatzprofil)
• Deutschkenntnisse (C1) und Englischkenntnisse oder höher
• Fliegerische Vorerfahrung für einen Einsatz im 24h-Flugbetrieb:
• Instrumentenflugberechtigung 
• mindestens 100 Stunden Nachtflugerfahrung (idealerweise NVIS)
• mindestens 100 Stunden Instrumentenflugerfahrung
