Looking for a medical billing specialist for a Retina practice near Swedish/Edmonds hospital. Full time position
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for day-to-day medical billing office operations for a Retinal Physician. This position encompasses the entire scope of the medical billing process from insurance verification, to manual entry of charges, posting insurance and patient payments, and the collections process. Applicant should be knowledgeable in medical insurance coverage including patient cost-share, CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 medical coding guidelines, and strong attention to detail. Insurance pre- authorizations/referrals, Work aging claims and collections. Taking patient payments over the phone/Insurance credit card payments, Chart review for procedure clearance, filing, faxing, Month end paperwork, Mail claims. Refunds and credit balance experience.
This position will require an individual with strict time-management and multi-tasking skills.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications:2+ years experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers. Able to use billing software programs, ability to work independently.
Experience in using Excel and Word.
