This is a unique opportunity to join a recently launched San Francisco based biotech that is building foundational AI systems to reshape how new medicines are discovered. Having just emerged from stealth, the company is combining large scale biological imaging, proprietary datasets, and deep learning to tackle some of the most complex and impactful challenges in pharmaceutical R&D. You will be part of the founding research team, working across data generation, model development, and real world deployment.

Founded in 2023 by leading minds in machine learning and biotechnology, this venture backed company is using AI to build better ways of designing and evaluating molecules. They have built one of the largest proprietary biological datasets of its kind, and their models already outperform traditional lab based approaches in internal benchmarks. Operating remotely with a core team in San Francisco, the company is designed for agility, scientific ambition, and close collaboration between ML researchers, biologists, and engineers.

Requirements

• Design and build large scale multimodal deep learning models using proprietary biological and chemical data
• Explore novel methods in representation learning, contrastive pretraining, and generative modelling for molecular and cellular data
• Collaborate with assay scientists, engineers, and founders to guide experimental design for model driven research
• Build infrastructure and pipelines for training, evaluation, and deployment
• Deliver working tools, not just experiments, by turning research into real decision making products
• Help shape an open, rigorous, and fast moving research culture
• This is a full time remote role, with a preference for overlapping hours with US time zones. Travel to San Francisco is optional
