Position Overview

As a Jewelry Designer at TraxNYC, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and CAD designs for a wide range of jewelry pieces, from custom designs to our signature collections. Your role will involve collaborating with our designers and jewelers to bring ideas to life and ensure each design meets the highest standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design 3D models for various types of jewelry (rings, chains, bracelets, etc.)
• Create CAD designs and technical drawings for manufacturing
• Collaborate with the design team to refine and perfect jewelry concepts
• Prepare files for 3D printing, prototyping, and production
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of 3D modeling software, CAD technologies, and jewelry trends
• Work on custom projects with sales team, interpreting visions into detailed designs
• Ensure that designs are both creative and production-friendly, optimizing designs for manufacturing

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Jewelry Designer with a strong portfolio (please include a portfolio or samples of previous work)
• Expertise in 3D modeling software (Rhinoceros, Matrix, AutoCAD, or other relevant CAD software)
• Strong understanding of jewelry design principles, gemstone settings, and manufacturing techniques
• Ability to create high-quality technical drawings and 3D models for production
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping is a plus
• A passion for fine jewelry and staying up-to-date with industry trends
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Comfortable working with high-value merchandise
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask under pressure
• Punctual and dependable with a professional attitude
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and valid photo ID required

Compensation & Schedule:

• Pay: $18.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Subject to increase over time based on performance
• Schedule:
• Full-time, Monday – Friday
• Standard shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours)
• Occasional weekend availability may be required
• Location: In-person, New York, NY 10036 (Diamond District)
