Associates at Matrix work directly with other deal professionals to execute all facets of prospective and existing client engagements.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Performance of financial and valuation analysis, including in-depth financial modeling and analysis of deal structures
• Drafting/editing transaction marketing materials such as pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
• Research of financial and strategic buyers
• Procurement and vetting of all diligence materials, management of virtual data rooms, and coordination of relevant third-party work
• Front-facing role in all other aspects of client engagements including regular interface with clients, communication with prospective buyers, participation in management meetings, etc.
• Mentorship and oversight of analyst staff, management of Team workflow, and allocation of junior resources
Requirements:
• 2-5 Years Experience in Investment Banking
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant studies
• Strong academic track record with demonstrated proficiency in finance and/or accounting
• Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
• Superior writing and strong verbal communications skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, transaction-focused team environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Must obtain applicable FINRA securities licenses within six months of employment
• Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Holder of, or candidate for, any of the following designations or degrees: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
