Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance processes within our Pediatric Dental Office, ensuring that all insurance verifications and claims are handled efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct insurance verification for patients prior to their appointments, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for managed care authorizations.
  • Process insurance claims, and follow up on any outstanding claims or denials.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage, benefits, and any out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient information handling.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members on insurance processes and office protocols.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental office environment.
  • Familiarity with managed care systems and processes is highly desirable.
  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology and coding practices.
  • Experience with insurance verification processes and handling medical records is essential.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
