• The mold setter performs mold changes in a safe, systematic, and timely manner.
• Follows work schedules and priority ratings system to ensure efficient operations.
• Sets up molds, end of arm tools, robots, grinder and operates injection machines according to the established procedures.
• Troubleshoots issues that arise. Manage to bring parts into specifications for size, appearance, flash, splay, cycle time, etc.
• Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
• Ensures paperwork and computers system entries are completed and signed correctly.
• Operates overhead crane, forklift, machines, grinders, gauges, measurement tools and other hand tools.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Completes proper shift change over.
• Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ensures that workstation and injection molding are kept in clean and safe condition.
• Follows safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing assigned PPE's.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ensure that process running, and process set up sheets match (Contact Supervisor if needed)
• Help with the implementation of grinders and re-grind to the IM process as directed
