The successful candidate will be accountable for setting and delivering the Taiwan business strategy, driving profitable growth, commercial excellence, and business optimization in line with company expectations. They will be accountable for driving commercial strategy and innovation to increase revenue, profitability, and customer dedication in the short and medium term. The leader must be a high-intensity, resilient individual who can lead from the front, instilling dedication, agility, and accountability across the commercial organization

What will you do?

Develop Go-To-Market (GTM) model for Taiwan, accelerating customer value creation, growing market share, showcasing Thermo Fisher Scientific value.

Drive overall growth and commercial execution across all Divisions, ensuring distributor optimization, performance management, and excellence in execution.

Champion commercial excellence, driving forecast field, robust pipeline management, demand generation, and ensuring full organizational dedication to targets and results.

Deliver region goal tree objectives and Annual Operating Plans (AOP), including revenue growth, profitability, expense control, free cash flow, process optimization, efficiency, employee development, and customer happiness, encouraging a continuous improvement culture

Lead strategic business planning, proactively anticipating market or economic shifts to capture new opportunities and mitigate risks.

Lead government relations and strategic investments, collaborating closely with Divisions regionally and globally.

Partner with HR to establish employment models and policies positioning Thermo Fisher as an employer of choice in Taiwan.

Build and lead a high-performance organization and leadership team, developing talent pipelines at all levels and functions.

Cultivate and strengthen networks with key customers, suppliers, industry forums, trade bodies, and government agencies.

Be an advocate for the customer, ensuring product quality, compliance, and excellence in customer solutions. Act as a brand ambassador for Thermo Fisher Scientific in Taiwan.

Act as a critical contributor to the overall strategy and development of the Taiwan market as part of the leadership team.

Champion health and safety standards, holding leaders accountable to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate EH&S risks in the workplace.

Role model Thermo Fisher leadership proficiencies and 4i Values, encouraging employee engagement and a One Thermo Fisher culture across Taiwan.

Serve as the voice of the company in Taiwan, and as the voice of Taiwan back to the Divisions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven track record in defining, shaping, and implementing business strategies that set direction for organizations, business units, or functions.
  • Strong commercial leadership experience, including business development, customer allegiance, and driving growth across diverse segments, go-to-market models, and functions. Experience driving both organic and inorganic growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in driving commercial excellence, including forecast field, pipeline management, demand generation, and driving teams to deliver on ambitious targets with agility and accountability.
  • Financial leadership experience, including P&L management, budget planning, capital allocation, and addressing complex financial issues such as restructuring and funding.
  • Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining talent, leading complex, diverse, and remote teams, and driving superior performance through change and ambiguity.
  • Experience leading through downturns, fixing failed initiatives, and turning around underperforming businesses.
  • Experience leading large-scale reorganizations, including both scaling for rapid growth and rightsizing organizations.
  • Strong external representation skills, serving as a spokesperson or advocate with customers, suppliers, investors, government agencies, regulators, industry groups, boards, and the broader community.
