We’re backed by world-class investors, just raised our first institutional round, and now we’re hiring a specialized scientist to lead our R&D.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding Scientist to further build and develop our flow cytometry-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in flow cytometry, particularly in assay design, data analysis, and working with challenging cell types. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the earliest stage of the company; perfect for someone excited to shape the future of fertility and reproductive health.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute flow cytometry-based experiments
• Develop and validate live-cell assays
• Analyze, interpret, and be able to present experimental data
• Contribute to protocol development, documentation, and future IP filings
• Help shape the scientific direction and culture of the company as a founding team member

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent experience) in molecular biology, bioengineering, cell biology, or related field

Required Skills

• Extensive, hands-on experience with flow cytometry is required - you have independently designed, optimized, and analyzed flow-based assays, and can troubleshoot signal, gating, and viability challenges
• Strong track record of designing and troubleshooting live-cell experiments
• Familiarity with small or fragile cell types (e.g., stem cells, primary cells)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with evolving goals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Mission-driven, self-directed, and excited to build from the ground up

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with sperm cells
• Background in reproductive biology, IVF, or embryology
• Prior startup or technology development experience

Pay Range and Compensation Package

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Peninsula, CA.

• Salary range: $100,000–$140,000, with potential to go higher for the right candidate
• Equity: Meaningful early-stage equity as part of the founding team
