Swoon is actively seeking a Copy Editor to join the team of our client - a fortune 1000 company!
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Copy Editor to join our Marketing team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of marketing materials across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp eye for detail, a strong grasp of style guides, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Copyedit and proofread marketing collateral (print and digital) for grammar, style, tone, clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Verify facts and statistics using internal and external sources.
Ensure adherence to internal style guides, as well as AP and Chicago Manual of Style.
Apply and update compliance and legal disclosure language as needed across all materials.
Track and incorporate quarterly and annual updates to content, including investment and risk disclosures.
Modify and abridge copy to fit layout or platform constraints while maintaining clarity and impact.
Maintain consistency of tone and messaging across all communication channels.
Collaborate with multiple departments to manage deliverables and maintain project timelines.
Use editorial tools and systems effectively to track changes and ensure quality control.
Stay current on editorial best practices, compliance guidelines, and regulatory updates relevant to the industry.
Requirements:
3–5 years of professional copyediting experience, preferably in the financial , pharmaceutical , or medical sectors.
In-depth knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and usage; proficient with AP and Chicago style guides.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience applying legal and compliance disclosures in a regulated content environment.
Familiarity with financial and investment terminology and concepts is highly desirable.
