✍️ About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Content Writer / Editor with a flair for the eerie and a passion for historical storytelling. You’ll take rough, skeletal scripts and transform them into chilling, captivating narratives that keep audiences spellbound. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fluid, creative environment, can work independently, and knows how to balance historical accuracy with atmospheric suspense.

🧠 Responsibilities

• Heavily edit existing tour scripts for clarity, flow, and engagement
• Fact-check all historical claims and verify sources
• Cut content for length while preserving narrative impact
• Rewrite sections to enhance spooky, immersive tone
• Ensure consistency in style, voice, and accuracy across all scripts
• Collaborate with the creative team to meet deadlines and project goals
• Think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment

🧙 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a writer and/or editor
• Provide 2 former examples of successful written copy
• Strong background in historical research and source verification
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Proven talent for creative writing, especially eerie, suspenseful, or atmospheric narratives
• Ability to produce dozens of unique, compelling ghost stories that feel authentic and immersive
• Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision
