Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations and deposit processing
• Handle bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll processing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with team members and client contacts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Support audits and financial reporting as needed
• Utilize accounting software and tools to manage tasks

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) is required
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping best practices is required.
• Soft skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with GAAP is a plus
• Experience with nonprofit and/or fund accounting is a plus
• Experience with ShelbyNEXT Financial is a plus
