Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled TMT Associate to join our growing Investment Banking team in Cleveland. The Associate will play a key role in providing strategic financial advisory services to clients in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) industries. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent client interaction skills, and the ability to manage and execute complex financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Execution :
    • Lead and support the execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) , capital raising , and other strategic advisory transactions in the TMT space.
    • Prepare and review detailed financial models to support valuation analysis, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) , Comparable Company Analysis (CCA) , and Precedent Transaction Analysis (PTA) .
    • Assist in preparing and reviewing pitch books, client presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Client Relationship Management :
    • Develop strong relationships with clients and provide ongoing financial and strategic advice to senior bankers.
    • Coordinate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, providing tailored solutions.
    • Participate in client meetings, presenting financial analysis, and helping to drive discussions around key strategic decisions.
  • Due Diligence & Market Research :
    • Oversee and support the due diligence process for transactions, collaborating with internal teams and third-party advisors.
    • Conduct industry and market research to provide valuable insights to clients, focusing on TMT market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Financial & Valuation Analysis :
    • Create, update, and review detailed financial models to assess the financial impact of potential transactions.
    • Provide insights into the financial health of clients and potential M&A targets, using industry-specific metrics and benchmarks.
  • Deal Structuring & Documentation :
    • Support senior bankers in structuring transactions and negotiating terms.
    • Assist in drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, including pitch books, offering memoranda, and deal term sheets.
Qualifications
  • Education :
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance , Economics , Accounting , or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience :
    • 2-4 years of prior experience in investment banking, preferably in TMT , corporate finance , or consulting .
    • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, CCA, PTA, LBO modeling).
    • Experience with M&A transactions, IPOs, and capital raising processes is strongly preferred.
  • Skills :
    • Strong understanding of the TMT sectors , including Technology , Media , and Telecommunications industries.
    • Exceptional proficiency with Excel for financial modeling and PowerPoint for creating client presentations.
    • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong work ethic, with a willingness to work long hours when required.
