Dedicated to excellence in medicine, Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Animal Care Assistant position. AEHUC has been a part of the Raleigh community for more than thirty years! As a part of the AEHUC team, you will be introduced to one of the most established 24 hour emergency hospitals in the Raleigh area; and be exposed to new advancements in medical equipment and technology! We are seeking highly skilled individuals with experience in veterinary medicine for positions as a veterinary assistant. Candidates must possess the following:

· Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.

· Professional, customer friendly demeanor.

· Ability to deliver an outstanding experience to clients and their pets.

· Ability to work well with a team to deliver expected goals and outcomes.

· Ability to learn and utilize a variety of computer software programs.

· Ability to lift 40 lbs.

· Ability to work holidays, extended, and weekend shifts on a rotating schedule.

· Experience with or willingness to work with a variety of animals.

· Excellent communication and people skills.

· Passion for working with people and pets.

Skills Needed:

• Restraining Dogs, Cats, Small Mammals, Avians, and Reptiles.
• Wrapping Surgical Packs
• Preparing for sterile procedures
• Self Starter
• Detail Oriented

Staff is willing to train candidates in skills if they have the right attitude.
