Viridian Staffing's client is looking for an Analytical Chemist to join an in-house testing facility in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Area.

In this role, you will support the in-house testing facility of a Cannabis company. You'll get the opportunity to carry out chemical analysis using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPCL) and Gas Chromatography (GC). You will operate and maintain testing systems and equipment, which includes identifying any issues with instruments or SOPs. You will always ensure that methods, including safety standards, are in compliance with requirements set by the State of Florida. Using your proven success in testing accuracy, you will conduct the analysis of cannabinoids and generate compliant data. You'll use your exceptional written and verbal communication skills, to help convey test results, and when necessary, recommend solutions to the product development team.
Ideally, your background should be a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant degree, with some experience in laboratory operations and ideally at least some experience as a chemist in a cannabis testing lab. You have experience with HPCL and GC equipment along with laboratory experience performing method development, qualifications, and validation activities. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail is required for this position.
