Hoog , an animation channel with 900K subscribers, is on the hunt for a skilled 3D Render Thumbnail Designer to create eye-catching, professional visualizations that drive viewer engagement! We're helping them fill this position.

The role

Hoog creates animation content that requires thumbnails to make powerful first impressions and communicate the essence of each video in YouTube's competitive landscape.

Your job? Create compelling 3D rendered thumbnails that accurately represent video content while maximizing click-through rates and developing distinct visual concepts that stand out. You'll work closely with the content team to translate video themes into impactful visuals.

Here's what you'll be working on

• Creating compelling 3D rendered thumbnails that maximize click-through rates
• Developing distinct visual concepts that stand out in YouTube's competitive landscape
• Collaborating closely with the content team to understand video themes and translate them into visuals
• Delivering multiple iterations based on feedback (minimum 3 rounds per thumbnail)
• Meeting deadlines consistently while maintaining high quality standards
• Analyzing thumbnail performance metrics and adapting designs accordingly

The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong proficiency in Blender (essential) - must demonstrate advanced skills with this specific software
• Have additional experience with other 3D programs (Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Maya) as a plus
• Demonstrate expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering specifically for still images
• Present a portfolio demonstrating architectural, isometric, or miniature-style 3D modeling skills
• Show strong understanding of composition, color theory, and typography for maximum visual impact
• Have experience creating thumbnails specifically for YouTube or similar platforms
• Understand YouTube algorithms and how thumbnails influence metrics (CTR, view time, etc.)
• Possess excellent communication skills and be receptive to feedback
• Be able to distill complex concepts into simple, striking visuals
• Have experience with complementary design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
